12/7/2021 | Solving Illinois’ child care crisis: Resources & a role for business leaders The pandemic has exacerbated longstanding problems in our system of child care and early childhood supports, with dire consequences for working parents, their employers, and our overall economy. Solving these challenges will require time, resources and commitment — but this work is beginning today. Illinois’ local chamber execs and business leaders have a crucial role to play in helping strengthen our workforce through improvements in child care access, quality and equity. We’ll discuss some important steps, including details of a new, Regional & Community Systems planning effort the state will soon launch to help inform this work. Joining ReadyNation for this presentation: representatives of the Illinois Network of Child Care Resource & Referral Agencies. |
